That means I'm out riding 7 days a week, 4-6 hours a day

(and
some times more). It's a safe bet to say I'm probably one of your most
intensive users of the Polar Horse Heart Rate Monitors, and have been
very pleased with the Polar equine monitor I own. I've used
other brands in the past and the Polar is so superior that I don't even
use the other ones any more. When the horse goes uphill or downhill or
changes speed, the Polar picks up the change quicker, with shorter
delays. The accuracy is also better and I
have very few "no read-out" periods. In fact, its a
good predictor of a loose girth, because the only time it doesn't give
me a read out is when there's daylight between the horse and the girth!
